About This Spot

Walking into Best Hong Kong Dining feels like stepping into a warmly familiar space where the rhythm slows just enough to savor good company and even better food. Tucked away on a quiet stretch of Mesa’s Dobson Road, this restaurant invites you to linger, whether you’re sharing laughter across a table with friends or carving out a moment of calm alone.

The atmosphere here is comfortably unpretentious, echoing a neighborhood spot where locals return time and again, drawn by the gentle hum of quiet conversations and the subtle aromatic draws of simmering broths and roasted spices. It’s the kind of place where attentive service doesn’t feel rushed; instead, it gently guides you through a meal thoughtfully prepared and patiently enjoyed.

Behind the scenes, the kitchen crafts heartening dishes that feel both authentic and thoughtfully balanced. Picture the satisfying crackle of crisp duck skin giving way to tender, juicy meat, or the comforting warmth of a bowl filled with rich, vibrant broths that tease the palate without overwhelming it. There’s a delicate harmony between textures and flavors — from sizzling beef to silky tofu — that speaks to a deep respect for tradition alongside an eye for satisfying every appetite.

What stands out most isn’t just the food itself but the way each dish invites a shared experience, one where meals become moments: the slow savor of pan-fried noodles, the unfolding layers of a roast pork plate, or the lively chop of Peking duck carved fresh at the table. Here, dining isn’t rushed; it’s a gentle unfolding of tastes and atmosphere that lodges warmly in memory.

For those who appreciate the comfort of genuine Cantonese cuisine within an unassuming setting, Best Hong Kong Dining offers a quietly satisfying refuge — a place to reconnect with familiar flavors and discover small, joyful surprises around every corner of the menu.

Superb cantonese cuisine. The duck and meat dishes are must try, suggest to start with the combo or if you’re more than four people then get a whole duck. We also got the taro pork pot and that was succulent and soft texture. Service is swift and friendly

It was our 1st time here. We decided to come in for dinner. Everything that we ordered was very good in texture and flavor. The roast pork. The skin was very crispy. The meat was juicy and tasted "fresh". The layers of meat and fat were perfectly balanced. The roast duck. There was hardly any fat between the skin and meat. The meat was still juicy. It was seasoned perfectly balanced with all of the different spices. BBQ pork. It was so good by itself. We took some home to put it in our own fried rice later. Combination chow fun is one of my husband's favorites. He really liked how they cooked it here. I really liked the well balanced flavor. The dish came out steaming hot but, yet, the veggies were still crunchy. Combination tofu. This dish had everything that we both like. We don't know if they make their own tofu or not but it tasted better than in some restaurants that we had been to. Deep fried crispy dough sticks. I have eaten this in Houston, Flushing, Garden Grove (CA) and here in AZ. But nothing reminded me of my childhood like tonight; when I ate it at the restaurant it reminded me of how my granddad used to make it for us. Perfectly crispy - airy - light in flavor and in its dough. The care from the restaurant staff was wonderful. We are planning to come back soon to order some dishes for our parents.

Delicious and huge portions. The mongolion beef was super tender and slightly spicy. Perfect! The crispy noodles had tons of pork and great gravy. Love the chopping of duck while you eat! I had 2 full containers AFTER I ate to take home!

Yum! Living in a city with many food selections its hard to find one that is truly delicious; well we definitely hit the hot pot with this one! We ordered a little bit of everything from the menu and we were not disappointed in any of it! The flavors and not to mention the presentation of everything was super yummy!! Please don't skip out on this place and DONT FORGET TO TRY THE DUCK! amazing owners and even better food, what more can be asked for?

We found this place and I’m glad we did! We had the sizzling rice soup, which I haven’t had in a very long time, due to the place I used to get it at closed. It’s so fresh and taste amazing. If you never had it It’s a must try! We also got the potstickers which were just as good. We ended up coming in hungry and leaving absolutely stuffed with lots of leftovers, which is not a bad thing! Everything we ordered was amazing! It definitely hit the spot. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The people are very friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be back again!

Get the 3 BBQ combo of duck, pork and ribs.. It's the greatest combo ever! The service is great, staff are friendly and attentive, food is great, and we are definitely coming back here again. It's a hidden gem!

I’ve only been the once as I’m visiting from NYC. The Pork Chop with Seasoned Salt is straight fire, worth the trip alone. Pea Leaves (off menu item) which I order all the time back home were very good. Peking Duck was solid. Bbq Spare Ribs underwhelming. Trying it again tonite. This time were each getting our own order of the Pork Chops!
